All Bike Tours

Biking in the Southern Westfjords is an exciting and wonderful way to experience Iceland.

Scenic Látrabjarg

Beginning in Patreksfjörður we’ll drive 60 km to the Látrabjarg cliffs (with the bikes), where you´ll find yourself surrounded by the white sand beaches and turquoise ocean views which are characteristic of Southern Westfjords. Látrabjarg, the western-most point of Europe, features a 14 km long and 440 m high bird cliff which is home to millions of birds, the largest sea bird colony in the Northern Atlantic. This is one of the best places in the world to photograph puffins and other sea birds (bird season is from mid-April until mid-August). You may even get a glimpse of rare grey seals lying under the cliffs.

History and heritage

With great fun we´ll cycle from Látrabjarg to the Heritage Museum at Hnjótur and learn about the history, lifestyle and culture of local people including how they rescued foreign fishermen from stranded ships under the Látrabjarg cliffs, and how important Látrabjarg and the sea were to the local community.

Red, black and blue

From Hnjótur we will cycle to Rauðasandur, its red colored sand in beautiful settings of black cliffs and the blue sea making it one of Iceland’s most famous beaches. The local guide will take you to the best viewpoints. You will truly enjoy this intimate encounter with wild nature, stunning landscape, amazing bird life, speed, action and culture.
